Exams are on and masti time is over, as everyone in the campus is frantically getting hold of tutorials for preparations. A few months more and it will be farewell time for the final year students. All they would then do is look back at the happy times spent in college. And songs are a special part of those memories.

HT City brings you some songs that have become anthems for college students.

BC Sutta
This song by the Pakistani band Zeest is a rage among students. With its explicit lyrics and catchy tune, this is on song that you would never play in your house, but it’s popular in hostels. Rohit Sharma, who is pursuing an MA from North Campus, says, “The music is too catchy and makes you forget that the lyrics are something that a decent person would never use!”

All Izz Well
The movie 3 Idiots has broken box office records and one of its songs, All Izz Well, has become really popular with students of Delhi University. “This song is being sung by everyone. It just gives the perfect feel of college. If nothing works out, you just say ‘All izz Well’,” says Dipali Bharagava, a student of Dyal Singh College.

Pal
To give an emotional and nostalgic ending to farewell parties in colleges, this song by singer KK is played in most colleges. “It is a very emotional song and leaves everyone teary-eyed after it has been played. It reminds you of your friends and the fun times you had together. This has to be the absolute favourite farewell song, along with Summer of ’69,” says Sidharth Rana of College of Vocational Studies.

Purani Jeans
Sung by Pakistani singer Ali Haider, this is one of the most popular numbers on campus, talking about the typical life of a college kid. “Yehi yaad aata hai campus life pe (This is what you can think of when talking about campus life),” says Rahul Kumar of Aurobindo College.

Dil Mein Baji Guitar
This number from the film Apna Sapna Money Money remains a favourite with boys. “Everybody is in love with it. You see a hot looking girl and you sing this song!” says Aman Malik, a student of Delhi University.
